1000mb renewals

Has anybody managed to haggle with VM to drop their renewal on a 1000mb connection?

I'm paying £41 a month currently which I'm happy enough with, but come renewal stage I don't want to go past 50, I'd rather keep it the same obviously.

VM are also my only option for anything 100mb+

VM always check the alternatives at your postcode if you query the renewal price.

If/when you get Openreach or an altnet installing FTTP in the area you will be able to negotiate a better deal with VM if you want to stay with them. Otherwise it's 'take it or leave it'.

  • They didnt check when I cancelled last year (they offered same as new customers next day)

I cancelled again this year, but Openreach have now installed FTTP so I just switched (VM again offered the same as new cusomers - half of what they were offering before)

And why not.  Once Openreach installed FTTP in our area, I've just moved around ISP's to whoever suits my wallet ...  :-)  Over the time, I've actually left VM twice and came back, as long as the price is right.
