I know there have been similar posts in the past but I'm not seeing them now.

At some point today, maybe yesterday, the above fault developed. We have a single master socket with a plugged in base station and a total of four DECT handsets. This has worked for many years though the current units replaced an older set about three months ago. Status check says there is no area fault (area 30). Handsets say "check phone line".

For the sake of completeness -

@ Reece_MH said there was a fault and the best reaction woud be to "manually" migrate me to VOIP. Separately, the agent who eventually replied through the WhatsApp help channel said the same. We agreed to make the change and she said it would complete within 48 hours. 48 hours and 15 minutes later, a package containing the required phone line adaptor was pushed through my letterbox. I moved the phone base station to be next to my router and - surprise, surprise - the phones work. Well done to the pleasant, helpful VM agent.

Hi @jaberwok, thank you for your post. We're glad to hear the phone is now working.
