On June 11th we switched from VM to Sky using the you switch program. On 31st May, I received a text ,message from VM telling me they were sorry I was transferring my phone number, therefore acknowledgment we were leaving. Why then on July 16th am I being told my VM bill is overdue and I owe money? I have not used a VM service since 11th June

Hey Becky247, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this.
With the YouSwitch this is a 3rd party system and ahs nothing to do with us.
You would need to cancel the account with us, YouSwitch cannot cancel accounts, they just find you a great deal really.
We also bill right up until the day of the disconnection and we a bill a month in advance.
Once any final payment has been made and any equipment sent back to us, we would send any refunds back within 45 days.

With most providers, the telephone line is also used for Broadband. So when services are moved to the new provider terminating the telephone automatically disconnects the Broadband. When moving from a cable provider the telephone line is separate to the Broadband, & uses a separate network, so only the telephone line will be terminated. Some people indeed run both cable Broadband & a service from another provider as backup.
