Withheld Numbers Bypassing Call Guardian

Hi,

Ive recently connected to the new phone system and have a BT Phone with a built in call blocker.  I think it used to be called Call Guardian but is now called True Call.

Basically, when someone calls, they have to announce who they are and press the # key for the call to come through to me.

This is all working fine for calls from people with a visible phone number but people calling from withheld numbers are coming straight through without having to announce themselves.

I can see that this has been brought up once before and the two bits of advice were to reboot the hub and also to make sure the Caller Display feature was enabled.  I’ve checked with Virgin who have confirmed that caller display is enabled and I’ve also just rebooted the hub but the issue is still there.  I’ve also taken the phone to someone else’s house and tried it on their line and it works fine so it is not an issue with the handset.  It seems to be an issue with my phone line.

Think not and as truecall customers have had it also and i will be getting in touch with the phone manufacture  too as i do not see them being able to send updates to a phone ??

As how can they send updates to a phone ?? not like a taplet or computer as different set up

but it will mean spam // sales calls find out and then use what ther person used this am and u have more customers being easy spam called and why have the phone when if u can by pass it ??

i will be looking into this more that it seems the network company wants to
