I need to port my home phone number AWAY from VM after cancelling. I have contacted the new provider as I believed they had to ask VM to do the porting, but no, they say they cannot help, and VM has to initiate the number porting.
So as usual, stuck in the middle with no help

I'm sorry to hear that you've decided to leave us and that you're having some trouble with a landline number port. Your new provider will need to request to take the number from us and then we can initiate it, provided that the landline service and number is still active with us.
As such, I'd recommend speaking with your new provider again to arrange this.

We have actually decided to drop the landline altogether... Only two people ever call on it now so we move to mobile only.... sign of the times...!!
