Talk 08

Hi,

Does anyone know whether there is, or will be, an inclusive 08 number phone package with VM?

I used to have one and they withdrew it.

Cheers

See page 2 and 3 (page footer numbering) for 'Talk Extra #' add-ons which include 0845 and 0870 numbers

Talk 08 seems to have been a previous add-on (page 23 above)

Thank you. I may get the add on Talk Extra

Yes the Talk 08 was very good in the past, for 0871 numbers.

There were.

Talk 08 2 cost £2 a month & just included 0845. Talk 08 5 cost £5 a month & included all 08 numbers. However, with the OFCOM changes a while ago which complicated the use of these numbers, most companies have moved to 03 numbers which are included already in the standard talk packages. Hence demand decreased & they were removed.

Not sure the service I want is on 03 prefix but I'll  research. There is an 0870 version but it's  a bloated iteration.

CS couldn't even put me on Talk 200, no explanation why!

From the document linked above, it mentions

1 Only available with Weekend Chatter and Evenings & Weekend Chatter

for the 'Talk Extra #' add-ons.

Do you have a phone package other than one of the two mentioned above?

Hi,

I have 'Anytime chatter', the other two packages are cheaper and I asked him to appraise with the 'Weekend Chatter' tariff instead and he said it was still unavailable.

I even provided a screenshot and highlight of the annotation you referenced.

Don't understand it. Can anyone from CS chip in on this thread do you know?

Many thanks for the contribution.

I don't know how up to date it is, but this site used to be good at providing alternative 0870 numbers

Hi Bucky897 👋 Welcome back to the forum - thanks for posting!

I'm glad to see one of the other community members already posted this 👉 Guide to Everyday Call Charges which breaks down all charges to numbers on all our call plans. It looks like it did help clear things up a bit.

It depends what kind of 08 number you are looking to call as to whether it's included, and also how many minutes you are expecting to use. There's a full breakdown of each plan, available add-ons, and the charges on page 28 of the guide above.

I'd probably recommend the Talk More International and Talk O8 £5 Add on sections, as these have 0845, 0870, Other 08 included.

Hope this helps! Let us know if there's anything else you need. Wishing you all the best!🌞
