Can I talk to someone in UK?

I’ve had Virgin contact me I think from Phillipines to re-sign me on new contract - it has come through on virgin retention number. But It’s hard to understand the caller and they wanted my bank account details again - I’m reluctant to do this as I’ve also been told to email a non virgin email to give permission for my wife to be account holder. 
Can I speak to someone about this as I feel uneasy? Help

  • You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone and select the " leaving option ",  best time to call is around 8am when the lines open and you should get through to the UK based retentions team, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.

      I am not getting a leaving option. I can't resolve this, I'm leaving. The online chat thing is a complete waste of space.

        If you dialled 150 it used to be options 1,1,4 and 4.

    Phone numbers can be easily spoofed so it's right to be wary.  The caller shouldn't need your bank account details, although they could ask for your bank sort code (this only identifies the bank and not your bank account number) as part of DPA.

    VM don't use non VM email addresses to contact customers.

    A member of the forum team should pick this up for you and PM you for details so they can check internally.
