Please help. I have no working telephones and they seem to have been down since last night. Had just assumed that the few people I had tried to contact were 'engaged' but no I have a fault on my line. As a priority customer I have gone into panic mode.

The 'Home Phone' forum has been full of telephone outage reports today (seemingly in the south-east/Essex kind of region). Look through the other forum topics to see if any of the postcodes are in your area.

Its very disconcerting when you are high priority because once alerted to a problem with the system you hope you wont need aid just at the same time

Do you get your VM landline service via a VM hub or from a conventional telephone wall socket?
If your landline connection comes from the VM hub, has VM offered you an emergency backup line (EBUL) which allows calls via the mobile network when the landline is down?
