My landline phone isn’t ringing

My Landline phone isn't ringing when receiving a call, the other person hears a ringing tone. I can also make out going calls, we need this fixing urgently due to my 80 year old mother in law and her disabled son need to be able to get in touch in emergencies. 
Please could someone assist us

Thank you for reaching out to us in our community and welcome, sorry to hear your phone isn't ringing when called although you can ring out,how is your phone connected, is this Via the old wall socket or Via the Router? if it is vIa the router you can first try a different handset, also try resetting the Router with a pin reset, push a pin/ paper clip in the reset hole and keep it pressed in for a full timed 1 minute, you can also try movinh the phone ino the other socket on the adaptor.

If we were to send an Engineer and it is an issue with the phone or any 3rd party Networking equipment there would be a £25 callout charge.
