Landline not working conflicting VM messages

My landline stopped working yesterday. If I ring it from my mobile it goes straight to voicemail. 
checked status online and it says no problem but when I phone virgin a message says there is a landline problem in my area. Is this Schrödinger’s problem working/not working simultaneously

Sorry to hear you are experiencing some issues with your landline. 

Were you advised of an estimated time of fix via the Service Status checker online?

Online says no problem, but message when I ring customer service says there is a problem but no time frame given

I've just checked over things on our systems, and currently there are no known issues in the area being reported. Can you confirm if the issue is still ongoing for you at the moment or is it now resolved?
