Landline dead

Tuning in

Unable to receive calls or call out. Phone displaying correct display as connected. Tried checking Service Status but keep getting message system currently unable to check. Can a moderator help please. Wife is vulnerable, recovering from surgery. We require the landline to be working. Thanks in advance.

Sorry to hear you're having issues with your landline at this time. 

I've checked the systems at our side and can see that there is an area issues that is affecting your landline at this time. The estimated fix time for this is currently today 27 June 2024 at 8pm. You might find that your Virgin Phone service isn't working at the moment. We are investigating and working to resolve as quickly as possible. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused.

We can also see that you've already registered your total loss of service with us as well, but please do keep us updated should you still be unable to check the service status page after the estimated fix time today 8pm and we can look again at our side for you.

Unfortunately still the same, no outgoing/incoming calls as landline still dead. Can no access Service Status which first said no phone issues in postcode, then said hub had to be reset, then said looks like intermittent signal problem in area, and finally when just checked again said no phone issue in area, and advised ringing VM team on 150. Tried to call on mobile but keep getting message "we are unable to connect you 🙏 again". Can a moderator please assist to help progress thi

Try the automated service status number 0800 561 0061 to check for any faults in your area. This may detail more localised problems.

If an area fault is still in play, VM won't send out technicians until that fault has been cleared.

Just to update, while going through security questions with moderator Tom, our landline suddenly started working again. Cadent gas been digging up road, this week, don't know if they have disturbed anything. Main thing is somehow we're back on folks!
