It does not tell you how to register the fault ONLINE

The 'online' reference in the auto comp explanation is misleading IMO. As I understand it, you can run the automated service status tests from within 'My Virgin Media' which might acknowledge or log the fault for you if it recognises a problem.

You can phone the automated service status number 0800 561 0061 to check for any faults in your area which again should log your issue if there is a recognised area fault.

Other than that, you have to phone in to log the issue and start the clock ticking for compensation. Without using one of the approved methods, VM will have the excuse for not paying out that they were not properly notified of the total loss of service.

Thanks for the reply @Chris_tramman

Has it been over 48 hours since the fault was logged?
Let us know.

Kind regards.

Thanks for that. I will contact VM

Thank you very much to our community for their help here

If you register your loss then the account will be assessed and the credit applied after the fix to account for all days the loss was experienced.

If you do require any further help @Chris_tramman

Can you explain how do you actually "register" it? The link https://virg.in/autocomp doesn't actually point this out. Can you please highlight for us?
