@Lite1970 VM will pick up on this thread BUT I would ask the sender to provide you with an actual copy of the rejection message.  This will contain important information that VM can use to determine exactly why the mail was rejected by their servers.

Thanks Tim as you can probably guess how difficult it is to get information from these big insurance companies. They just point me to my service provider. I’ve asked them for this but I’m not getting their emails and have to contact by phone.

Just get yourself a proper, reliable email acoount.

You'll be glad you did, and VM will be glad to get rid of one more account.

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

This is reliable, this is the only issue in  24 years.

It's not just insurance companies that have that attitude. The thing is that the first line support staff in large companies are not going to be email experts and so are unlikely to be in a position to do a great deal of investigation.

However, even if they can quote the text of the error message they are getting it would be helpful. The error message will almost certainly offer some explanation as to why the email cannot be delivered.

By the way, are you in a position to be able to post the domain name (the part of the email address after the @Symbol) of these missing emails.  There are some checks that could be run to look at the authentication records for that domain. If they have not been set up correctly that might explain why the VM servers are rejecting emails from that organisation. That's a bit of a long shot but it might help.

By the way, you do need to consider moving to a non VM email address. Remember if you ever switch broadband providers you will lose access to  your VM (Ntlworld) email accounts 90 days after the VM broadband account is terminated.

no unfortunately I can’t quote the domain as I’m not receiving the emails.  I’ll look into a non VM address at some point.

Ok, that's fair enough but the thing is that without some more information about those emails it's almost impossible for anyone to get to the bottom of why they are not coming through.

FWIW whilst consider making a Data Subject Access Request to the organisation's Data Protection Officer for the required rejection information; be aware they have 30 days to respond.
