Incoming emails not arriving since this morning.

Since sometime earlier today a couple of us have not been receiving email on out Virgin accounts.  We use IMAP and are not receiving any errors, just no emails.

Is there something wrong with Virgin's email delivery today?

Thanks very much,Ashleigh_C

There are so many of us with the same problem, there is plainly an issue.

And for myself, this has become very stressful, given I've just lost my mum.

My ntlworld account has just started with what looks like the same issue.  I get some emails, albeit somewhat delayed, but at least one order confirmation from amazon and several verification emails from another site have definitely gone astray.

I called it in and a technician will apparently be looking into it, over the next 3-5 days.  I will certainly be doing what I suspect VM want us to do, that is moving my email account to another service provider.   Is there a way of archiving one's past emails to a local storage medium, for potential future reference?

Thanks @Graham_A .

I've just been reading about exporting emails via Outlook, the client that I use, to a .PST file.  As I wouldn't need regular access to my archived mails, I'd probably leave them in the PST file and not bother to import them.  However, I need to read up a little more to see how I would go about opening the PST file, if I ever do need to find an old email, and whether that would necessitate me importing the whole lot or not.

I think I'd better do a bit of spring cleaning on my inbox, to rid myself of any that I will never need.

Now I'm unable to send/receive email via an email client. I get error 0x800CCC0E and a message that says "The connection to the server has failed".

You're not alone,Sigma.

We did have an fault yesterday for some of our customers, This was resolved early evening.

Can we just ask if the same issue persists today? or are you now able to receive emails okay?
