How to use another app to read Virgin/Blueyonder emails at work

Hi - for some reason I cannot access my usual Blueyonder webmail at work as I get the dreaded FSB50 error. I just cannot solve that as I think it may be a security issue on the work network.

My workaround was to use Thunderbird, Outlook or Mailbird etc to read my Blueyonder emails.

However every app I install won't access the Virgin/Blueyonder emails even when I have put all the correct SMTP, POP info in as it says I have wrong password.

I have two passwords for Virgin - one for emails and one for general logging in to account etc. BOTH of them are not recognised. How can I use another app to get emails please?

We have been advised since that the fault is now resolved from this morning. Can we ask, what is the current situation with your mailbox, are you able to access this?
