Exporting email to another address

Hi, moving house next month and unfortunately Virginmedia isn't available on the island , so I need to export my mail before my account is closed down. Have tried moving it to Gmail, but my username and password aren;t recognised - it's an ntlworld address , and a secondary account, not sure if that;s the issue but would really apprecaite any help / advice on this

  • energise If you haven't already done so you will need to generate an app password to use with Gmail.

    VM have recently changed the log in requirements for accessing VM Mail via third party apps.
    Email client access now requires an app specific password which can be generated in the MyVM > Account Settings > Account details > Mailbox App password management

      Have replied, thankyou .  Would have been happy to stay with virginmedia if it was avaiable where we#re moving to !

    Just been on whatsapp with an agent  who facilitated changing my password on the primary account -  but also told me that the main account I use ( the one I wanted to back up) doesn;t exist !  was working fine this morning but now has disappeared from my secondary accounts . not good - selling our house and was expecting important legal emails today .
