I just had a call from [MOD EDIT: Spoofed number] claiming to be from VM, sounded like an Indian call centre and started off by saying VM has merged with O2 and have I experienced any issues. Sounded to me like 100% spam call but I was surpriesed not to find any reports of that number, and it actually seems to belong to a company called "Bullhorn Consultants Limited". On my phone it came up as "BIAARS". I hung up. Anyone else had something similar?

Scammers regularly take a real telephone number (belonging to an innocent business or homeowner) and use it as a fake caller ID.
You can tell nothing from caller ID alone when trying to work out who is calling you (as it is easily faked by scammers).
When they phone you again, just hang up without speaking to them

Thanks, and I can see the mod marked it as spoofed which confirms it was a scam. I suspected that's the case.
Actually, my own personal number got spoofed before, I used to get calls from random people saying they had a missed call from me. I don't think anything can be done about it though.😐
