Sky Sports and BT Sport App add on prices

The price for adding Sky Sports and BT Sport to my Virgin Stream within the Virgin Media App changes from those shown in upgrade package when adding them to the basket. Also the overall price of my Services increases! I’ve no idea why. Anyone had similar issues?

  • Thanks for reaching out to us PaulS1962, and a very warm welcome to you.

Sorry to hear of the issues experienced with the pricing of the services when attempting to add them via Flex services. Can you please confirm if the content has since been added and is showing at the price you have agreed for each broadcasters content?

    Thanks

  • Unfortunately not, when I add the extra services at the price shown in the App, my broadband cost is increased and Wifi Max is also charged at £10 per month (currently included in my deal).

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Thanks for coming back to us PaulS1962 and sorry that you haven't been able to get the content added unless that has now changed since your post last week. If not we'd be happy to help further via private message. Also, do you have proof of the lower offer price? We can then help to get this investigated further.

      Kind Regards,

    On our wavelength

I am in exactly the same position. When you go on to my Virgin media - it states fancy a change/upgrade. There are several things that you can change such as broadband speed and also add tv packages. It offers the tv prices much lower than what is shown on the actual box, as an example sky sports at £18.75 and TNT Sports at £10. The issue is when you add these items it takes away any discount that you already have and starts to charge you for things which should be included as a volt customer, like the WiFi home plugs. I personally think there is an issue here at Virgin end and when you press the link to upgrade it is presuming that you are a normal tv/broadband customer and the prices shown are incorrect. I am happy to provide screen shots to mods if it helps, but this is not right

This is the issue with Virgin media, service is ok, but actual customer service is dreadful.

Yes, you’ve described my situation perfectly. Same figures in fact. I’m disappointed not to have been contacted by Virgin.

Have you added these and been billed higher AJ45?
