Netflix slow and freezes on stream box.

Hello,

I am relatively new to Virgin media and I am having problems with the Netflix app.

The problems are, it's slow to start, slow to navigate the menus and if you can get a film to start, it freezes or the sound is out of synch.

I have tried reloading Netflix, rebooting the box, but neither have worked.

Any ideas please.

    Sorry to hear you're having issues with Netflix. 

    How do you have your Stream box connected to the internet? 

    Do you have any other issues with devices connected to the internet at all?

      Hello,

      The stream box is connected wirelessly to my Virgin media router.

      I don't have any problems with any other devices connected to this router, also, all other apps seem to work fine.

        Do you find it affects most of the programmes you're watching? Any correlation at all between whether the programmes are in standard definition or high definition?

    I'm still experiencing very sluggish behaviour with the Netflix app on Virgin Stream. Are other people still facing this issue? 

    Everything else works smoothly, including other apps like BBC iPlayer. It's not a connection speed issue, my Stream is wired to the Virgin router, no WiFi. Once Netflix is playing a show, there are no issues. The issues are with the menus, very sluggish.
