Hi all,
I I have just switched from sky to virgin because they have just laid new cables in my area. The issue is if I am watching live tv I obviously can’t fast forward into the future, but if I pause it then come back, I can’t fast forward back to the live point I have to watch from the pause point on switch back to live point, missing whatever was in between. Surely this can’t be a design feature?

Sorry to hear of your concerns with fast-forwarding through content you've had on pause. This will depend on what set-top box you have. If you have a stream box, then you cannot fast forward content that was previously on pause. We can feed this back on our side to get more information for you if you like.
Stream boxes do not have recording features, so rely on the broadcaster providing the facility via online streaming ( if you are watching a BBC channel it will use the BBC iPlayer for the continue watching feature). The Stream box does have a small flash memory, but will only pause for 5 to 10 minutes at maximum.
