Controlling stream box with Sony Bravia remote

Hello

I’m looking to set up the Sony Bravia remote so that it has full control of the virgin stream box

Note

  1. this has been possible with other types of virgin box by setting the Sony to control a Ziggo brand set top box with a particular model number. The previous model number does not work on the stream box, and neither does “Next” or “MediaNext”
  2. It is possible to set up the virgin remote to control the TV in a rudimentary fashion, with channel up and down and volume. This is not what this is about. This is about setting the Sony’s own remote control virgin with all of the buttons working, e.g. “TV Guide”.

I guess what I’m looking for is some sort of brand and model that can accurately be entered into the Sony settings in order to control the box, or an update on either side that would make it possible. Has anyone had any luck with this?

    I think it is fair to say that none of us have managed to get the Stream box to work using any other remote. It appears to be that the box only works with the paired remote using Bluetooth. The only alternative is using the phone app.
