BBC iPlayer app not working

I’ve just received my first Stream box and all is working well except for the BBC iPlayer app. Netflix, Amazon Prime and even the Apple TV app work fine.

I am able to sign in successfully sign into the BBC iPlayer app but once in, I get errors either when loading the main screen content or trying to stream any content.  When trying to stream anything I just get a circle going round and round and finally an error code e.g. 34014 or 2050 etc. I’m not running any VPN type software just in case you’re wondering.

Very occasionally, after retrying several times, everything does work but for no rhyme or reason.

Now, on the same TV when I run its native BBC iPlayer app it works perfectly fine with no issues at all! This proves to me that it’s an issue with the app on the Stream box however, any help or pointers appreciated.

Stream firmware: v5.20

      Yup. Multiple reboots and even a factory reset of the Stream device.

      Ethernet cable made no difference which I expected given the TV’s native BBC iPlayer works perfectly fine (this is the same TV the Stream is connected to) and that on the Stream box, Netflix, Prime etc all work just fine.

        Thanks for your first post and welcome to our community.
        Sorry to hear you're having an issue with  BBC iPlayer on your Streambox.
        I want to investigate this for you and see if we can get it working.
        If you don't mind, I'll need to send you a private message to pass security. 
        If you can check the envelope at the top right of your screen, that would be great.

    Did you get this resolved? and if so how?

    I have exactly the same issue, everything works fine (Netflix, Prime etc)  apart from BBC iPlayer - so frustrating to have to go through the TV to use it.

      I'll take a look at this now for you.
