Virgin Email Password Problem

Hi all,

Apologies if this has been asked a thousand times. I have an iPhone which I send and receive my Virgin emails on, or did should I say. A week or so back I kept getting a message saying incorrect details, re-enter password. I couldn’t remember the password so changed it, I think.

I changed it and had a 5 or 6 random word type password generated, have put that into email settings on iPhone, and nothing! I then deleted the account entirely from my phone reinstalled, or tried to, but again asking for password, pop it in and it still says it’s wrong?

Am I just not seeing something? All I want is to start being able to send and receive emails via my blueyonder email on my iPhone as I’ve always done. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated..

Chris

    ollieorkins The generated app password should be four words separated by hyphens.

    The 5 random word password is an account recovery code for the VMO2ID not the email app password.

     From an earlier post in the Forum;

    To create one or update an existing email app password you need to follow these steps:

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID

    Select Account Settings

    Select Identity & Security Settings

    Select Manage your products

    Select Manage email app password

    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password. This is what you use in the mail apps along with the VM email address as the username.
