Re: Re: Concerned Virgin.Net eMail Users

Like many others, my wife and I are at risk of losing the virgin.net email addresses we have used for around 30 years. We got them when we got our dial up Internet accounts. When we got Virgin broadband we stopped using the dial up but kept using the same email addresses. We will be totally lost without the email addresses we have had for so long. I couldn't even begin to count the number of places I've registered with using that address over 30 years. Surely there must be a way to connect the old address to the Virginmedia inbox, so we can continue to it? Anyone from Virgin Media able to help with this?

The VM Forum Team staff should respond to this post in the morning.

If your current VM broadband account is in the same name as the orphaned virgin.net email addresses then there is a chance that they can be moved to the current account and saved.

    Good morning

Your situation is identical to mine. However, during last week I received an email asking to contact Virgin on a different phone number 0800 052 2209. It appears this number goes to a team who understand the issue and how to resolve it. After giving my details and all the email addresses associated to my account, I was told the email addresses had been linked to my current VM account and will take 5 days to complete. We'll have to wait and see if that happens.

In the meantime, if you use Ms Outlook as your mail handler, you can download all your emails and access them offline.

    Good luck

    Hope this helps
