Old NTL email address deletion

Hi, 

My old ntlworld email address has been hacked and the password changed.  As I no longer have any Virgin Media products, I am unable to access support directly from them.

The hacker has attempted to access my social media and any other product that still uses this email address.

Is there any way to permanently delete the ntlworld address?
