Ntlworld issues

Hi all

Stopped getting any emails through from my ntlworld.com account overnight using my gmail app.

Emails coming through ok if I log into to the virgin media portal.

Tried to log in/register with some other email apps and keeps saying my password isn't valid.

Assuming it is something to do with the new log in with VMO2 ? But unsure how to get around it.

    Try generating a new email app password.

    If you are using an email app or client to access your emails you are likely to need an app password, especially if you changed your password when signing into the VMO2 ID.

    To create an email app password or update an existing one you need to follow these steps:

    Sign into the My Virgin media account for the email concerned with your VMO2ID
    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
    Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'

    Make a note of the generated password.  This is what you use in the mail apps along with the vm email address as the username.

      Tried this but on Gmail it keeps saying can't connect - temporarily blacklisted IP address - try again later

  • I'm not using an app, can log in without any problem, can send ntlworld emails but haven't received any for days.
