Ntlworld issue

I have not been able to access my ntlworld.com email as it is ‘currently unavailable’ and it may be locked?!?  I have had this email account for about 30 years with no issues.  I haven’t had notification that the account is closing and am still a Virgin and O2 customer.  This has been like this for 2 days now.  I have since tried resetting my password numerous times to no avail.  I have important documents and emails to read and although having spoken to Virgin they couldn’t help.  Can anyone offer any urgent support please?

Have you had a break in your VM contract(s) that may be set your NTL mailbox adrift?  Usually after 90 days the mailbox should have been deleted, but some were not.  If you have had no breaks, the mailbox should still be linked to your account, and hopefully one of the VM Mods here can check.

Resetting the account password alone is no longer sufficient.  You also need to generate a new email app password to unlock the account.

You need to log in to the My Virgin Media (VMO2ID) account to generate the passwords for the Ntlworld email address. Once logged in follow these steps:

    Select Account Settings
    Select Identity & Security Settings
    Select Manage your products
    Select Manage email app password
Click on the blue button 'Get New Password'
