Frustrating to say the least. Technically, it is interesting to see different posters on this thread experiencing different issues. I use POP3 to connect to my MS Outlook client and, as a matter of routine, take regular backups of my Outlook *.pst files. So, I will only have lost Emails sent to me since Sunday night (it is now Tuesday afternoon). My regular Email correspondents know that VM Email is still broken.
But IMAP users are seeing complete folders disappearing. I suspect that restoring IMAP folders properly must be a real headache for VM. I never went from POP3 to IMAP as it was never clear to me (in my ignorance) whether VM could lose a folder, and that this would then be replicated across all my devices.
I have had my ...@ntlworld Email address since the 1990s. But it will have to go. Goodness knows how many websites, friends and relatives I am going to have to inform.
A recent annoyance was with VM Mobile when they withdrew their PAYG service. When this was announced, the VM Mobile website said that credit balances were not refundable. My wife and I lost money as a result. We are now happy customer with Tesco Mobile, but losing our money like that still grates.
