Forbidden access to primary account mail.virginmedia.com

There seems to be many threads for this, however I find myself going round in circles

Since the security change, non VM email address required to access VNM account (which I have carried out). I can no longer access my primary e-mail account via webmail. I can however access all my secondary accounts via webmail. Tried most things mentioned in other threads, no luck.

My accounts are ntl accounts which VM tend to forget about.

Any help much appreciated.

  • Thanks yes I was. I have just got it working after changing password several times. All for security, but this is just a way to stop us using VM e-mail they want us all to stop using. I must admit if it was straight forward I would stop using my ntl email which has been a nightmare since VM took over.

Anyway thank you for your assistance

Colinntl Are you definitely using the correct username/password combination for webmail?  You need the third party email username and VM account password.

  • Hi Colinntl

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear of your access concerns with your primary email.

Do you still have access to this email through client mail like gmail or outlook?

What error do you see when trying to access through webmail please?
