Email seems to have stopped working

I’m having trouble with my email. I came back from a week in Germany yesterday. I tried to send an email on my iPhone and I get the old smtp not working message. It has done this on occasion but clears itself up. This time my email seems be not sending or receiving. I noticed emails were not coming in while I was away.  Both my iPad and iPhone are doing the same. I tried the web version and I get the “your account is not available”

However, the emails seem to be getting forwarded to my hotmail account on outlook on my PC, so they are there. Is it an Apple IOS thing?
I’ve no idea what’s happened.

    First question to ask is Are you still a paying VM customer?  VM are currently purging non paying users mailboxes.

      Yes. Been a customer for many years. As far as I am aware, nothing has changed. Last email on my iPhone or iPad was last Friday. When I hot online with my pc and check my Hotmail on outlook, they are all there, so email forwarding seems to be working.
