Email access on laptop (forbidden)

I can't access my email on my laptop as I get a 'Forbidden' when using either my saved link or the link from My Virgin media. I've generated a new password for my phone app but that hasn't cleared the laptop issue

I have a non ntlworld email address for logging in

    Sorry to hear that you're having issues accessing your email on your laptop. And for any inconvenience this may be causing you. Can you advise what other steps you've taken? For example, have you tried on alternate browsers? Or deleting your browsing history and cache?

      I tried both Chrome and Edge with the same outcome. I tried other laptops and got the same message. I used the change app password 3 times advice recommended elsewhere on this forum (twice) with no success.

      I've just had a call back from VM (as I rang yesterday -  they advised they couldn't fix so escalated to the IT team). They talked me through a fix which involved changing my app password again (just the once), and when that didn't work (this is on a different laptop) they said that lots of people are experiencing the same issue and that there is a problem at the VM side which the tech team are working on and that if I try again in 24-48hrs it should be working again.

      I'm not that confident it will be, but maybe I will be surprised.

        Thanks for replying. 

        Can you keep us posted on how the next day or so goes, with you being advised 24-48 hours.

        The good thing is the team have raised this with our IT team to take a look, so things are at least moving in a positive way.
