Delete secondary email addresses

Oh Dear! What have Virgin done?

I am in process of moving emails to a different provider. I deleted one of the now unused secondary addresses last week with no problems.

Now I have had to go through the tedious new login procedure and can no longer find the list of email addresses in order to delete them.  Does anyone know where this function is now buried?  The information in the 'help?' is contradictory.

Thanks in advance

Robertos42 You are correct.  The facility for customers to remove secondary accounts has been removed. VM Forum Team staff may be able request removal but that route has yet to be proven.

  • Hi Robertos42

Welcome back to the Community Forums.

Sorry to hear you've not been able to delete a secondary email.

The option to delete a sub-account is usually within the main account. There may be another issue raised with the recent single sign-on process that was introduced this week.

Are you accessing your online account through the app or via the browser?

Do you see any sub-account information in your online account, or is it just this 1 email that is missing from the list?

Do you get the same error when using another device or browsers at all?

  • I deleted a secondary email address last week using the method I have always used, which gave me a list of email addresses.  There was a 'link' which said delete next to each one which allowed me to remove the one which was redundant, all OK so far.

I have 2 others which I am in process of migrating to a different provider, one is now migrated and needs to be deleted from Virgin.  The second one is waiting for MS to let me change my account details(Locked out until next week).

I logged onto my virgin with a view to delete the email address and was confronted by the new login setup, which does not seem to have the function to manage secondary accounts, or show a list of active email addresses.

This has all been done from the browser, which has always been the normal way of logging in to MyVirgin.  This issue is due to the changes that Virgin have inflicted on us with absolutely no warning.
