Delete old virgin.net account

Hi there, 

A very old @virgin.net email address of mine has been used to hack into some old accounts in my name. The email account has long been closed, and I'm unable to access it. But somehow it has still been forwarding emails to my new address for several years.

Could someone please help delete the @virgin.net email address permanently for me?
