Concerned Virgin.Net eMail Users

As per numerous other posts in respect of the termination of Virgin.net email addresses, I also have virgin.net email address due to be terminated BUT I also have active services - broadband, tv and o2 volt, plus Virginmedia.com email addresses.
Please advise what can be done to either keep my .net account, or ensure that emails sent to the .net account can / will be forwarded to my nominated virginmedia email addresses, as I'be been using the .net address for circa 30 years.
