Archive button

Good day,

unfortunately I went to move 2 email to a folder I had set up but instead of pressing move button I pressed archive. Whoosh they were gone and I can’t find them anywhere. Any idea please. Thanks

Online email folders are not suitable for use as an archive. There is no guarantee that they will be safe, and VM does not keep backups, so if emails are deleted for any reason they are lost.

Any important email data should be copied offline.

Have you looked in the "Archive" folder in your webmail account? That's usually just below the "Trash" folder in the list of folders in webmail.

Click on "Archive" to see the list of yearly sub folders inside. If you have only just archived them  you should see a "2025" sub folder and the missing emails should be there.

If they are you can move them back to their original folders.

Consider pressing Ctrl + Shift + R to bypass data cache and reload page. Do folder appear in Archive folder?

      fdj12 "“folder empty”

If 用心棒 's Ctrl + Shift + R option does not help  it would also be worth checking in each of the "Year" subfolders within the "Archive" folder in case they got moved into an earlier year sub folder.

It is also possible to move/archive  emails to the main Archive folder itself rather than in to the individual year sub folders.

Also,  I presume that you I also looked in the Trash Folder?    In the "Move" menu the "Trash" option is just above the "Archive" option so you might have clicked on "Trash" rather than "Archive".

If all that still does not reveal the missing emails, then I'm stumped for the moment.

Glad to hear it! But do learn from this and keep an archive off line at home.
