When to give 30 days notice?

Had enough of their nonsense. Customer from the begining but getting nowhere sorting out a new deal and cannot be **bleep** with retentions calls. Unfortunately for them, open reach and city fiber are now options in my steet.

Contract is ends 21st March. Am I correct to say that I can give them 30 days notice on Feb 21st with no cancellation fee? Or do I need to wait until contract end on 21st then give them notice? I'd ask them, but the online chat is about as much use as **bleep** on a windmill.

Cheers for any advice.

You can give 30 days to coincide with your end date.  Note however it’s nearly impossible to end with a zero balance due to VM billing in advance.  Once your contract is ceased, VM will issue a final bill. It may be in debt or credit.  I would also advise to do this in writing, recorded delivery.  Any credit is usually paid back via cheque within 90 days I believe?

If you give notice on February 21st, that would be exactly 30 days before your contract ends.
