Upload speeds have randomly dropped - need help!

Hi,

My VM has been brilliant since starting two months ago however the last two days the upload speeds have completely dropped to 40mbps from upwards of 200. There's no real reason for it. Does anybody have any suggestions?

I am using a Wi-Fi connection.

    Too many T3 errors, even though the power levels etc. look fine.   Setup a BQM to monitor the circuit www.thinkbroadband.com/ping

    Also run a WIRED test from this site   www.samknows.com/realspeed   Run the FULL tests and post the results.

    Note - VM only guarantee a Wifi speed of 30 Mb irrespective of speed tier.

    This is a DOCSIS / CATV connection, even on Gig 1 the max upload speed is around the 104 Mb/s mark.

    Should the thread read the Download speed has dropped from 200 to 40 Mb/s ?

    If YES, and this is via Wi-Fi, it could be the device has connected on the slower but longer range 2.4 Mb/s Wi-Fi band where speeds in the 40 to 50 Mb/s range are normal.

    We're sorry to hear you're having issues with your upload speeds. Checking things here, we can see there is no fault in the area affecting you. I've checked the Hub levels and both the upstream and downstream power and signal levels are within optimal range. 

    We can see since posting, you've rebooted the hub - how have things been since doing that?
