VM has just been installed in parts of West Lancashire over the last few months. I had TV and broadband installed a couple of weeks ago. I want to install Eero 6 units but I know that the 5x hub doesn't currently have Modem mode available. I understand that there is a firmware update being distributed. So does anyone know if there is a schedule when different locations will be provided with the update.

I just had mine installed yesterday. I connected my router (Nest WiFi pro) and let it get an IP from the Hub 5x. I then went in to the Hub 5x, reserved the IP that my Nest WiFi pro was given, and then added that same IP to the DMZ in the Hub before finally turning off the WiFi on the Hub 5x. It works absolutely fine for me and doesn't give any NAT issues.
Yes, that will work but it's not modem mode.

Why does VM do this its like they are saying we really don't want to do modem mode anymore router mode can give you a IP to a router and you can DMZ to it yes you can't firewall ICMP or have protocol 50 but we really don't think thats a big deal so its like this you buy a car here is your car it has the speed and the looks just one thing its pink!
