Superhub 3 Costant Red Light

Hi

Thought I'd copy and paste the issue from another user as it's exactly the same issue I have.

My SuperHub 3 is showing a red light permanently. On looking into it, it seems that this is a common fault and is an overheating problem and needs replacing. 

Ive left it off overnight, reset it and it’s still the same. 

I was hoping someone on here could possibly start the ball rolling on getting it replaced without me having to spend hours on the phone with someone reading from a script telling me to reset the hub, power it down etc etc.

    Just a minor point, it’s not necessarily overheating. It’s an ageing LED that has gone red. The problem is once it deteriorates to red, you can’t be sure if the Hub is overheating or not.  So to mitigate any risk it is best to have it replaced.  If you wait here a couple of days a VM Mod should pick this up and discuss with you.

    Thanks for taking the time to post on the forums in regards to your Hub and red LED, we appreciate the concern this can cause and are happy to assist via the community.

    I will send you a Private Message, please keep an eye out in the top right when signed into the forums for the envelope. This is where you will be able to find my Private Message and be able to respond.

     

    In the meantime, please follow the steps below and if the Hub feels overly warm to touch please don't use unattended:

    • Turn the power switch off on the back of the Hub.

    • Ensure the Hub is upright, in a well-ventilated location and out of direct sunlight, if possible.
