Red light then no lights on hub. Outage in area.

Hi - I have been going round in circles with chatbot and phone - maybe I can get an answer here!

My internet stopped working earlier today - there was a solid red light on the hub so I restarted it.  I also checked for outages in the area and there is one.  estimated until 10pm this evening.

However my hub has not come back on in the sense of no lights at all.  I have unplugged and restarted a few times and nothing.

My question is the outage in the area is probably a separate issue and I should still have lights on the hub?   I dont want to wait until 10pm tonight to find out I need a new hub - if that is the case.

Thanks for any help!

Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web service status page, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.

VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.

    If no area faults found:

The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.

Hi - thanks for replying.  There is a reported fault in my area with an estimated fix of 10pm.  My problem is I can't get any advice beyond that point about whether my hub showing no lights at all is a separate issue to that?  I assumed there would be some light if it's powered on

        Hello paulah99

Sorry to hear of the hub issues and the area outage, we appreciate you raising this via the forums.

From checking, the area issue appears to be resolved, how is the Hub and connection? Has it returned with the red light or has it come back on as normal (white base light)?
