Red light on hub3 have I been fobbed off.

A few days ago I noticed a solid red light on my hub3. I looked on here and in VM help and it says the unit is overheating and to contact VM. The unit isn't hot but I have noticed wifi dropping a few times. I contacted VM by WhatsApp and the bot confirmed it's overheating. Waited 80 minutes to speak to an agent only to be told it's doing a firmware update. Does this take days???? Possibly longer before I noticed?? Have I been fobbed off? I have had this hub since the hub3 came out it's possible it's reached end of life. I think if that is the case they need to update their bot responses and knowledge articles.

    I am so sorry that you have faced this issue with your Hub and speaking with our teams, I'll be happy to help here. 

    Can I ask if the Hub is out in a well ventilated area? Have you tried a pin hole reset at all? To do this push a pen etc into the reset hole and hold in for 30 seconds, this will cause a full factory reset so if you have changed any details such as the Hub password it will revert to the original.
