Red light on hub

There is a permanent red light on my hub. I have tried all the suggestions - turned it on and off, reset, moved to a cooler spot - all to no effect. Thw hub itself is warm to touch. Have been unable to talk to an actual person or report this to Virgin and getting VERY frustrated. It seems this is not an uncommon issue. Please could someone contact me to get  the technical support I require?

    From the Hub 3 menu...

    Run the Network diagnostic tool,
    scroll down through the results, is : Temperature shown as  Normal or high ?
