Red light on hub

My virgin media hub has had a red light constantly on for over 6 months. I called the help desk a few weeks back who advised there was nothing they could do as we still had internet. Although we do have internet it is very temperamental and is constantly requiring restarts of the hub. I have tried every tech answer possible and the red light does not go. This is a Hub 3

    We're sorry to hear about the problem you've been having 😔

    In the first instance, please follow the below steps in the following order:

    • Turn the power switch off on the back of the Hub
    • Ensure the Hub is upright, in a well-ventilated location, and, if at all possible, out of direct sunlight
    • Use the power switch to turn the unit back on

    If after following the steps the router doesn't boot back up after a few minutes, or the red light returns when it does, it'll need replacing.

      Hi I have tried that on multiple occasions and it still shows the red light
