Ps5 connection issues and bad packet loss with hub 5

Recently switched from the hub 3 which didn’t seem to have many connection issues but since upgrading to the hub 5 it seems there has been an increase in connectivity issues. I seem to be getting a lot of packet loss and high ping when gaming and I am not sure why this may be the case.

  • I’ve tried resetting the router and this doesn’t seem to solve the problem any help would be appreciated.

Unlike the HUB 3, the HUB 5 makes use of DOCSIS 3.1, which could have faults in your area.

So, even if you are on the same subscription your new HUB is, partly, using a 'newer' technology to connect to the VM network.

You are probably best posting the HUB stats from 192.168.0.1, then 'Check router status', to determine the possible cause.

Knowing exactly how the PS5 is connected to the Hub 5 would be useful.

Providing evidence of a VM Packet Loss issue at the Hub is also compelling, use :

Once the test begins click on: Run full test to include: Latency, Jitter, Packet loss & Upload speed.

Share a screen shot of the Full Test.
