Poor to fair connection camera connection

I constantly have a "poor to fair" internet connection to my garage ring wifi stick-up camera, which is linked to the main house wifi system via wifi pod.

The pod if plugged-in to the electrical socket closest to the garage and the distance from Pod to wifi camera is approximately 10m

The pod is warm and old and it needs replacing with a more stronger pod or WiFi Max connection.

Best solution please

Use a PoE camera, much better than WiFi and more secure.  Failing that, get a better WiFi extender, e.g.  TP-Link AC1750.

  • Thank You for your time and response.

But I'd rather not have to outlay more expense and hoping VM will provide / replace current VM wifi pod with either a better pod or a more stronger pod or WiFi Max connection to fix my solution

Sometimes a location is just too difficult for basic Wi-Fi to reach. All Wi-Fi extenders are limited to the same power.

There are certainly ways to fix this, but they will involve some degree of expenditure.

If you are using a VM Pod the only option is to focus on the placement, the VM Pod is supposed to be mid way between the VM Hub and the CCTV camera.

If the distance is too great to be spanned by a Wi-Fi Pod aka Wi-Fi Repeater perhaps a system like this is an idea to consider with the smaller unit connected to the VM Hub and the larger Wi-Fi extender located in the garage.

If your CCTV camera has a network socket a less costly non Wi-Fi option could be :
