Replacement Hub 3 not connecting to Blink camera

Hi, I have everything working except for Blink camera. The issue seems to be that the new hub is 5GHz but Blink only works on 2.4GHz. I have tried setting up guest network but cannot see how to change the GHz. Can anyone please advise?

Thank you

  • Hub 3 is slow to change its Wi-Fi settings and it must be managed via a network connection
to avoid the admin session being dropoed / locked out  during Wi-Fi changes.

If I disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi on our Hub 3 the 2.4GHz Wi-Fi continues working.
Perhaps restart the Hub 3 and try this again.

Guest is 2.4GHz only I believe, so there would not be any 2.4 / 5 GHz settings.

Hub 3 main Wi-Fi works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.   Guest is 2.4GHz only I believe.

If you believe that a 2.4GHz only Wi-Fi would make the configuration easier, connect to the Hub 3 menu and disable the 5GHz Wi-Fi service for a period to ensure your mobile/app and Blink are using the same 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band.

  • Thank you for the reply. I went back into Hub 3.0, advanced settings, wireless signal, disable 5GHz, applied changes. I then lost all WIFI, so obviously doing something wrong!

At the moment, I have gone back to 5GHz so that internet and others are ok, but still not the Blink camera. The Blink web site says that it works only on 2.4GHz.

I did set up a guest network, but cannot see option to use 2.4GHz.
