Noisy and very hot Hub4

My Hub 4 has a very noisy fan and is getting really hot to touch, so much so i'm concerned that it could be unsafe. I've been switching it off overnight which isn't ideal as my burglar alarm runs via WiFi. I've cleaned it as best as i possibly can and it is placed in a open space with no obstructions. It's over 4 years old now so i'm thinking it is nearing the end of it's life.

Trying to get any useful help via the Virgin Media chat tool is pretty much impossible. Is there any way to speak to someone regarding hardware faults? Ideally i'd like to get it replaced or upgraded if possible.

    The Hub 4 is the only Hub to have a fan.  Normally it should be off AFAIK.  It could well be a build up of dust on the heat sink, reducing the efficiency and causing the fan to operate at all times?

    A VM Mod should pick this up in a day or two and discuss directly with you.
