No Modem Mode on Fibre Hub 5

Hardware version 1.2.1b

Software version 5.7.5-2402.3

Has there been any update on this, or a beta group for a new firmware update to re-enable this feature? I do not mind testing and giving feedback.

 

It is a real pain as none of the traffic I would like to send it getting out..

    Software version 5.7.5-2402.3 is for a Virgin Media Hub 5 in the Republic of Ireland (ROI)

      What you mean there is going to be modem mode?

      Currently you can't block all ICMP (aka ping) inbound requests but allow BQM ICMP inbound requests with the hub 5x.

  • Nope. Unlikely to be either. 

    Giffgaff broadband uses the same Nexfibre backbone and I understand it is possible to use modern mode that way.
