No internet connection

I am successfully making connection to WiFi with the Hub3.0 router, but my connection on Windows laptop says "no internet". All other devices are connecting to WiFi and having internet. Until noon, I was able to use my laptop to access internet, but surprisingly this issue is occuring from noon onwards all of sudden.

I am not sure what changes have happened to the router by Virgin Media which is causing this issue. Please, can somebody help me to solve the issue. I am requesting Virgin Media to act upon this issue at the earliest as I already seen people are complaining the same issue in the earlier posts too.

In one post, I can see that this issue got resolved by replacing the Hub3.0 by the Virgin Media. I look forward to seeing the expertise to address my issue. Please...

Check the laptop is not accidentally in Airline mode.

On the laptop use:  Shut down or sign out >>> Restart
this clears clear many windows networking issues.

Yes, I verified everything and made sure laptop is not airplane mode. If my laptop is airplane mode, I wouldn’t have even get network accessible.

I forgot the network and connected back. I switched off and restarted my laptop, which is obvious windows solution. Still nothing has solved my network issue. I appreciate any other suggestions. Thank you.

The network reset on my Windows laptop did not help. My laptop is not on MAC filtered list of the Hub3.0

I switched off and restarted my laptop .... that is not the same as : Shut down or sign out >>> Restart

Restart performs a cold boot and resets the uptime to zero.

A power down  / start up does neither.

Shutdown or restart did not work, which is old school technique. Of course, I tried so many times though.

Check the IP details of the laptop to see if it is getting a valid DHCP response from the VM Hub.

With the laptop connected to the VM Hub via a network cable
what IP details does the laptop have for its Ethernet adaptor ?

IP Address     ( Expecting to see an IP in the 192.168.0.xxx range )
    MASK            ( Should be 255.255.255.0 )
    Gateway IP    ( Should be 192.168.0.1 )
    DNS 1            ( Should be the IP of a DNS e.g. 194.168.4.100 )
    DNS 2            ( Should be the IP of a DNS e.g. 194.168.8.100 )

  • My simple solution is just upgrade your package. They will initiate some background processes as per new speed requirements which will solve the issue. I am saying it because I upgraded my package from M125 M250. That’s all, my windows laptops started connecting and getting network from Hub3.0 WiFi. Anyways, my issue got resolved with this simple hack. I am very disappointed with this way of solving issues. It’s very disappointing for being customer to such well reputed organization. Thanks for all your inputs.
