Hi Mark102
Thanks for posting and welcome back to the community. Apologies for any Broadband issues.
We've ran checks here and there's no issues or area issues showing. We can also see you did book an engineer visit but this was then subsequently cancelled.
We do hope everything is fixed but do let us know if you need further help.
Check with Area faults on 0800 561 0061 If you have a VM landline 150 this goes down to post code level. You could also try the web service status page, but this is not recommended as it only covers issues that affect a very large number of customers.
VM will not dispatch any technicians while an area fault exists.
If no area faults found:
The primary place to report faults or for service requests is Customer Services on 0345 454 1111/150 if you have a VM landline or wait two or three days for a VM staff member to get to your post. This board is not a fault reporting system.
For well over a week now Virgin has supplied NO SERVICE to my home in TW16. They say the network is intermittent, what that actually means is there is no service whatsoever….
How is that acceptable in 2025, we have three adults in the house who work from home, a fairly connected house with security and door bells all out of action.
As usual no useful or honest update as to when service will be resumed. I’m wondering if others in the area are experiencing the same issues!?
You are due compensation for a total loss of service, after an initial 48 hours. If VM are saying it's intermittent, it may be hard to get?
As for WFH, there are no SLA's on a residential contract, and perhaps a backup SIM based router, on a 30 day rolling contract may be of use?
Appreciate there’s no SLA but over a week is stretching it even by Virgin’s pretty abysmal standards.
I was hoping someone might help with a useful update with what was actually going on.
